Giveaway and Shop updates….

packaging

It has been far too long that I was thinking about updating my Etsy shop packaging options.

Packaging is a big thing for me. It’s one of the top reasons I love Etsy.

I still remember my first package from an Etsy seller. That was actually a runner up prize for a giveway from Charlotte Vallance.
The package was the cutest ever, loads of little notes, cards, tissue paper, a little extra from a fellow Etsian and obviously her gorgeous drawings in form of greeting cards.

Since then I always knew I wanted to have cute little parcels going out with my accessories to spread little smiles all over the world.

packaging

Little did I know about how hard it is to find a perfect balance between cute, sturdy, cost effective, easy to work with….and so many more factor you need to keep in mind.
I started doing everything by hand, which is fine, as I have time to do it thanks to my sales being very manageable.
My fist little packages looked cute :) But I soon learned that shipping within the UK seemed to be fine, but I unfortunately got some complaints from US and Australia about my items arriving broken :( Not cool!

I then made the decission to purchase a pack of 100 (minum order) cardboxes to make sure my earstuds would not stick out of any parcels anymore.
Bad decission, these cardboxes were just not sturdy enough. Bummer!
So I started packing everything up in meters of bubblewrap and tissue paper.
That obviously helped my items to arrive save, but there was no fun factor, nothing cute…al boring and save.

So I am happy to tell you that I finally found my happy packaging solution.

These boxes are perfect in size (large letter restrictions met.YAY!) They are a blank….ehm….black canvas to paint, draw, write or doodle on. They are close to unbreakable and I am in love!circles

To celebrate my happiness, I want share a bit of love and would like to send you one of my items from my Etsy shop.
